Cash Donations

Conviction Yoga is a 501(c)(3) non profit. All donations made to CY are tax deductible. CY will provide donors with a receipt that can be used to claim a charitable deduction.

Donation Classes

Yoga centers, meet up groups, social and church groups are invited to host donation based classes with the proceeds to go to CY. Any such class can be taught by CY staff or the staff of your choosing.  

Fundraisers

Anyone who wants to host a fundraiser is certainly invited to do so!  

Prop Donations

CY is in constant need of yoga mats and yoga blocks. Unfortunately, TDCJ has a policy of no yoga straps. Bolsters could be great, but most of the men use their block to sit in meditation.

Time Donations

Become a volunteer! We are in constant need of volunteers to blaze a trail into a new prison. If you want to become a member of our teacher training staff, let us know! Contact Jim Freeman at the email address in the Contact Us section for more information on how you can be a part of CY.

Grant Writing

We have a small group of folks who are versed in writing and seeking grants. If this is your area, we have a spot for you!

Book Donations

We are constantly in need of yoga and eastern religion books for the men to share and read.  

Adopt a Prisoner Program

For a donation of $100, you can adopt an inmate, providing him or her with the ability to purchase their own mat and class materials. In exchange, the inmate would be encouraged to send you occasional progress reports.  

Adopt a Prison

Want to bring CY to a specific prison? We would love to entertain the idea of an individual (or individuals) paying the expenses of bringing the program to a prison of your choice. The amount of donation will, of course, vary.
